Rabbi Pinchas Rieber is a seventh-grade rebbi who has been teaching for 30 years. His students have many opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities, and they are sometimes rewarded by going to a Chabad House for Shabbos as a class trip. While the hosts usually provide the food, with 25 students it’s not always possible, so Rabbi Rieber occasionally pays for catering.
One Parshas Vayeitzei several years ago, he had planned a winter Shabbaton in Commack, Long Island, where his class would be hosted by the local Chabad shluchim, Rabbi Tuvia and Mrs. Chaya Teldon.
Rabbi Rieber went ahead and purchased everything they would need for the Shabbos meals.
