16 ounces frozen strawberries
1 cup orange juice
5 tablespoons powdered sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla pudding mix
2½ cups water

  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.

Yield: 8 small drinks

Dipping the rim of each glass into lemon juice and then white sugar adds a touch of elegance to the drink presentation.

Who can refuse a strawberry smoothie? This version is pareve, so it makes a great addition to any simchah spread. The best part is that you can make it in advance and stick it in the freezer, saving you some time during those hectic last-minute simchah preparations. I often make kiwi and blueberry versions as well. The tricolor presentation works well in pitchers or individual parfait cups with striped straws.
