Yogurt Smoothie and Yogurt Pops

By Rochel Weiss from A Taste of Wellness

Beat the heat in the summer months with this delightful, refreshing smoothie. You can also transform part, or all, of it into these popular yogurt pops. Kids love these pops and Mommy will be overjoyed watching her children lick this yummy, nutritious treat!

4 cups plain yogurt
2 very ripe bananas
10 frozen strawberries (do not thaw)
½ cup honey (add more if desired)

  1. Combine yogurt, bananas, strawberries, and honey in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. For a smoothie, pour into a tall glass and serve with a straw. For yogurt pops, pour mixture into 3-ounce plastic cups. Insert a pop stick in the center of each pop and freeze 6 to 8 hours, until completely frozen. Remove pops from the freezer and dip in hot water for a few seconds to release yogurt pops from the cups. Serve immediately. Store extras in a large resealable freezer bag.

Yield: 6 to 7 cups
