Plus a bonus recipe for cookies- using cereal!

Polka Dot Cookies
1 ¼ cups flour
½ teaspoon cream of tartar
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup (1 stick) butter, softened
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 egg
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Toppings:
Fruit Loops, Trix, Cocoa Puffs, or cereal of choice
1. Preheat oven to 375F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat butter and both sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat to combine.
3. Add flour, cream of tartar, and baking soda.
4. Place rounded tablespoons of dough 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Press in cereal on top. The cookies will spread a lot, so try to press cereal into as many spots as possible. The cereal can, alternatively, be mixed into the dough.

Yield: 24 cookies
